Senior QA Automation Engineer – 12 Month FTC

An established technology company operating in a highly regulated domain is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer to join an Agile delivery team. This role focuses on driving quality through a combination of test automation, manual testing, and test strategy ownership.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated tests across web, mobile, and API layers

• Design, review, and execute test cases based on requirements

• Identify gaps in test coverage and improve overall test strategy

• Perform manual, exploratory, integration, and negative testing

• Analyse and troubleshoot failures from automated test runs (CI/CD pipelines)

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the SDLC

• Contribute to defect prioritisation and release decisions (Go/No-Go)

• Provide test estimates and support sprint planning

• Mentor junior QA engineers where required

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience in QA automation for web, mobile, and APIs

• Proficiency in Java or Kotlin

• Experience with tools such as:

  • Playwright (or similar)

  • Appium

  • RestAssured

  • Cucumber / Allure (or equivalent)

• Experience with test management tools (e.g. TestRail)

• Understanding of non-functional testing (performance, security)

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies

• Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
